CHASSIS

On the other hand, the chassis follows the well-known layout in the model: a double-tube steel frame with slight improvements over the previous model. It consists of two sections, a main front section and a rear section attached to it. Regarding the suspension system, at the front end it retains the characteristic Telelever, which allows independent management of steering reactions and suspension.

MOTOR

The fact that any model in the automotive industry remains in production 42 years later demonstrates its excellence. The R1250 GS continues with BMW's characteristic boxer engine, with a displacement of 1,250 cc. It produces 136 hp of maximum power and a torque of 143 Nm. Additionally, thanks to its variable distribution system that helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions, it has homologated figures of 4.75 liters per 100 km and 110 g/km of CO2 emissions.

Highlights

These Dynamic ESA suspensions are capable of automatically adjusting the suspension to different situations, regardless of road conditions or maneuvers performed by the rider. The braking system consists of a twin floating disc with a diameter of 305 mm and a four-piston radial caliper at the front axle, and a single disc with a diameter of 276 mm and a two-piston floating caliper at the rear.
